They could be older PT shirts. When I first enlisted in ’96, the shirts and shorts were the same gray color (now they have black shorts) and the shirts didn’t have anything on the back. It wasn’t until around 2001 or 2002 that they switched to the newer uniforms with the large A on the back with reflective lettering.

Could be real or not. There are a few points that lean towards both sides.
Real:
-Understated military theme. Most professionals trying to make an “Army girls” video would focus on military overtones and uniforms, not just shooting it in a barracks and having the girls throw on PT shirts. A lot of details are accurate, details that non-military wouldn’t have thought of.
-Solid black panties and solid white shoes. Supports the theory of being in AIT.
-Barracks. Fits the appearance of barracks bunks, walls, and floor. Supports the AIT theory.

Not Real:
-Multiple violations of AR 670-1, finger nails in particular. These violations are actually pretty common in AIT, though.
-No ID tags. If this was in AIT, I would expect ID tags. Regular Army, not so much.
-Red cups. In AIT, food and drinks are not allowed in the barracks, so red cups don’t exactly help. It’s easier to smuggle in soda bottles, and easier to explain if you get caught. We usually mixed our alcohol in soda bottles, camelbacks, or canteens. Never used red cups.
-All completely shaved. Not likely to be the case in AIT, for several reasons.
